I'm pretty proud of the shading on this one. This is probably the best I've ever done on shading ... ever.
Anywho, this is a piece based on the Ancient Memory arc of my fanfiction Yu-Gi-Oh! The Next Generation. However, sans the fact Mana has long hair, I suppose it could be a regular fan art. The change in Mana's hair is necessary not only to tell she's older, but for a plot point.
Yes, Teana is tan here when she was pale in the game Forbidden Memories. As I see it, everyone in the game was pale, including the player/Atem, so I figured the tanning was apt.
In chapter 59 [link] Mana and Teana team up their kas (Dark Magician Girl and Saint Magician respectively) to attack the creature Dark Valkyria. Once they believe they've taken her down, the two cross their wands, one on ground, one in the air. It was one of those moments I claimed was epic and needed a picture.
This is the first time I've ever drawn Saint Magician or Mana (technically, since she is the DMG). I'm satisfied with them. But I might eventually submit the detail of the Magicians by themselves.
